Friends of the Thunder Bay Public Library 50/50

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in Ontario. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.

Tickets are purchased online through our lottery vendor Raffle Nexus Canada Inc. through our website www.friends5050.ca.

Purchasers will be provided by the sellers, a receipt with their registered numbers from the electronic raffle system (Raffle Nexus). No specific numbers can be given as they are issued in sequence of order.

You will receive a Friends 5050 Official ticket to the email you specify when purchasing your ticket(s) after the purchase is completed and payment processed. 50/50 Licence #RAF1431644

Ticket Prices
$10 for 20 tickets
$20 for 50 tickets
$50 for 200 tickets
$75 for 350 tickets

The 50/50 is a draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.

Early Bird Draws will be $1,000.

If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased. Changes to draw dates for any reason require the prior approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario prior to implementation. Draws will be held at 285 Red River Rd., Thunder Bay, ON P7B 1A9

The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG) of our raffle vendor. Winner(s) will be verified against the information on file when the ticket was purchased through our website. Winners will be requested to produce government photo identification that matches details in our vendor's lottery system for the ticket(s) purchased.

Winners

Winners will be contacted by phone by the Friends of the Thunder Bay Public Library.

Winners will be requested to produce government photo identification that matches details in our vendor’s lottery system for the ticket(s) purchased.

Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

Winners will be asked to consent to release of their names and/or pictures by licensee.

All prizes will be paid by cheque and in Canadian Funds. Arrangements will be made with the winners when they are notified and verified as to the manner that they will receive their cheque.

Cheques may be picked up in person with prior notice at 285 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, or arrangements made to send cheques via registered mail to winners verified address.

In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to Friends of Thunder Bay Public Library, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws:

• Residents outside of Ontario
• Anyone under the age of 18
• Members of Friends of Thunder Bay Public Library Executive or volunteers involved in the conduct and management of the ticket raffle and family living in the same household,
• Thunder Bay Public Library Board members and family living in the same household.
• Members of Thunder Bay Public Library management, or staff involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle, and family living in the same household.
• Any and all current staff members of Raffle Nexus and Madhub including employees and contractors, are ineligible to purchase tickets or participate in any capacity within the Friends 50/50, and are not eligible to win prizes in any of the Friends 50/50’s draw(s). Violation of this rule will lead to disqualification, and purchased tickets will be considered void.

Privacy

Friends of the Thunder Bay Public Library and Thunder Bay Public Library do not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

Complaints

Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: 5050@tbpl.ca. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.
